Caressing My Weary Soul
She asks,
"What's wrong?"
"Depression."
"If you were gone, you'd be missed."
Confused
"Do you know me?
"Just...no."
"What am I to you?"
"Let me help you.
I care."
She lingers, caressing my weary soul.
To the girl that wants to be a boy
Looking in the mirror
Ugly self
She sits thinking
These thoughts
Unspeakable
Here's to the boy
Lost in the world
He is
Left behind
Everything is broken
Razor blade
Pills and cuts
Still don't feel

Her words
Remember

It's hard right now, I know. But your hurts WILL go away.
It'll get better, you WILL see another day.
You'll grow up and things will seem worse.
You'll think of your life as not a blessing but a curse.
Don't take it out on yourself, though, my girl.
Don't cut, don't starve, don't hurl.
I know it's hard sometimes. I know they've hurt you.
But I'm here for you, and I'll never desert you.
I know, your thoughts are dark, you're hurt and scared
I know, when things happened, it felt like no one cared.
I've been there before, little girl,
